Dr. Oliver Grübner

Interests: Oliver Gruebner is a senior researcher in the Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Prevention Institute. He is also appointed at University of Zurich Geography Department. He is director of the annual international summer school program “Spatial and Digital Epidemiology”. His research focuses on spatial epidemiological approaches to chronic diseases including mental health and he tries to understand how social media can be leveraged in this context. He received his PhD in Geography from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany in 2011.
