Society of the lonely - Discussing the Soul Pain of an Individualized World

6 p.m.

The event is part of the nationwide Week of Mental Health. This year’s focus lies in the prevention of loneliness within our society. In January 2018, Great Britain was the first country to establish a “Ministry of Loneliness”. And loneliness also appears in the coalition agreement of the Federal Government as a task to be tackled politically. What helps against the feeling of loneliness? What can we as a society do about the loneliness of the individual? We would like to discuss these questions with you this evening: Prof. Dr. Maike Luhmann, psychologist, Ruhr-University Bochum (researcher on loneliness), Dr. Janosch Schobin, sociologist, University of Kassel (sociologist of friendship), PD Dr. med. Mazda Adli, psychiatrist, Fliedner Klinik Berlin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (stress researcher) and Diana Kinnert, politician (CDU) and author.
