The Interdisciplinary Forum Neurourbanism publishes a Charta of Neurourbanism during World Mental Health Week

The Interdisciplinary Forum Neurourbanism publishes a Charta of Neurourbanism during this year’s World Mental Health Week, during which there is a global effort to spread awareness and generate support for mental health. This year the main focus lies on the significant impact social cohesion and togetherness has on mental well-being.

In keeping with this theme, the Charta summarizes nine hypotheses about the impact of cities on the mental health of their inhabitants. It serves as a catalogue of demands with recommendations for urban planning and policy as well as a basis for discussion: It encourages reflection and action in order to ensure social cohesion in cities and the mental health of city dwellers in times of global urbanisation.
